Exploring the Order of Freedom

It's a simple thing.

It's been held under the microscope.

It's been defended.

It's been branded.

It's been slandered.

Drifting somewhere between a dense 8 millimeters of hard headedness and our electric dreams. Somewhere between a profiteering war machine and its victims despair. We have the opportunity to restitch the seams, but as depicted below, the innate instinct to tear a piece off for ourselves runs quite deep.

First Friday: August

This First Friday we open a dualistic composition of The Freedom Series—a collection from Bud Madeen painted between 1967-2015. Bud sought to question freedom in all its forms, and so did his rabble-rousing son, Jeff. This bold series shifts perspective of free expression, showcasing Buds paintings accompanied by Jeffs rebuttals. Through the split lenses of father and son, the show explores what it means to question freedom in a world shaped by mass industrial control and conformity. Within discourse, truth in art aligns—factual, unfiltered, and unapologetically honest.

Let it remind us that free expression should be informed, truth in art inspires, and difficult questions get hard answers.
