4TH ANNUAL TRUTH SHOW
What does TRUTH mean to you?
Opens First Friday, July 4th - 6PM
Truth. Yours, mine, and others should make the viewer a little uncomfortable unless tuned in to that particular Truth, sometimes it’s universal, and sometimes it's particular to the individual.
The Truth Show will exhibit these perspectives of “Truth” (and what is called Truth) in our world, as well as our discoveries and differences.
It is with this focus on the concept of Truth, that we invite you to be a part of a group invitational exhibit at Blo Back Gallery. The exhibit will simply be titled Truth, and we want you to share with us what Truth means to you.
RSVP
We will be accepting applications through the TRUTH page on our website. Applications submitted through email will not be accepted. Applications are open until June 14th. If accepted, works are due to the gallery by June 23rd for intake.
ELIGIBILITY
All work must remain on exhibit for the duration of the exhibit. No artwork may be exhibited that has previously been shown in our gallery.
CONTENT
Works are juried into shows based on relevancy to the call. We encourage artists to research and consider the theme of TRUTH and decide how to uniquely interpret it using their own skillset, style, and medium. Blo Back Gallery reserves the right not to display every piece submitted.
ENTRY FEES
The fee for entering artwork is $30 total for up to 3 works per person, per show. Intake fees are non-refundable, whether your work is juried in or not.
MEDIUMS & SIZE LIMITATIONS:
All mediums will be accepted, including video, music, text, performance, and spoken word.
If your piece will require special attention in setup, please reach out to us in advance so we can devise a plan to best display your work.
No works larger than 30 x 30 inches accepted.
PRESENTATION AND DISPLAY
Upon delivery, artwork should be exhibit-ready, appropriately framed if necessary, appropriately mounted if necessary, and ready to hang with D-rings or eye hooks with wire designed for the weight of the piece. The back of each piece must be labeled with the name of the artist, title, medium, and price. No tabletop frames will be accepted for hanging. Sawtooth hangers, French cleats, and D-rings without wire will not be accepted.
WRITE-UP AND DIGITAL JURYING:
We ask that you provide a write-up along with your piece. One paragraph is sufficient. Please keep this to under 150 words.
We also require a hi-res image of your piece for jurying. 8” x 10” at 300 dpi. This can be submitted to our form on our website under "TRUTH." You will receive an email with the jurying results.
COMMISSIONS

All sales will be conducted through Blo Back Gallery, which will collect the purchase price and Colorado sales tax. Payment from sales will be made to the artist no later than 14 days after the exhibition's closing. All work displayed in our galleries MUST be for sale.
