Into the Sonic Woods: David Lord & Bob Marsh Live at Blo Back Gallery

Guitarist and composer David Lord is set to perform at Blo Back Gallery in Pueblo, Colorado, alongside avant-garde multi-instrumentalist Bob Marsh.  This collaboration promises an evening of immersive, boundary-pushing music that intertwines Lord's nature-inspired compositions with Marsh's experimental improvisation.

David Lord, hailing from Wichita, Kansas, has developed a unique musical language through his "Forest Standards" series, comprising four volumes released between 2018 and 2024.  These works showcase his extended Lydian polychordal system, blending elements of jazz, ambient, and experimental music.  Collaborating with renowned musicians like Chad Taylor, Jeff Parker, and Billy Mohler, Lord's compositions are deeply rooted in natural themes, often drawing inspiration from forests and fungi.

The upcoming performance at Blo Back Gallery offers a rare opportunity to experience the synergy between Lord's intricate guitar work and Bob Marsh's avant-garde improvisations.  Marsh, known for his explorations in experimental soundscapes, brings a dynamic edge to the collaboration, ensuring an evening of unexpected musical dialogues.

Set within the intimate and artful environment of Blo Back Gallery, this event is more than a concert—it's an invitation to journey through soundscapes where nature meets innovation.  Whether you're a seasoned jazz enthusiast or a curious listener, this performance promises to be a memorable exploration of musical boundaries.

Sunday, May 4th. Doors 7 PM, Show at 7:30 PM
